From the Tennessee Equality Project:

It’s almost time for the Knoxville General Election and we’re making sure you’re registered to vote with a Silent Disco dance party you don’t want to miss. The Tennessee Equality Project invites you to come OUT to Queer the Vote at The Central Collective on Thursday, September 12th! Silent Disco Knox will have playlists so #loud and #proud that you’ll be sashay-ing straight to the polls.

Come for the politics, stay for the party. Not registered to vote? Tennessee Equality Project volunteers will be on-site to help get you registered. We’ll be around all night to answer your questions about the upcoming election, issues affecting our community, and how you can help advocate for the equal rights of LGBTQ+ people across the State of Tennessee.

This event is free, although donations to the Tennessee Equality Project are encouraged at the door. There will be drinks for sale (you must be 21+ with a valid ID to purchase alcohol). You must be 18 or older to attend.

We are reclaiming our time: the event will be from 7-10PM. It's a LOUD + PROUD celebration of great music, good friends and community pride ... all brought to you by the Tennessee Equality Project. See you there!

More about TEP: The Tennessee Equality Project advocates for the equal rights of LGBTQ people in Tennessee. We do this through legislative advocacy. That means we lobby the Tennessee General Assembly and local governments around the state. When there is an important federal issue, like bills that include anti-LGBTQ adoption language, we help you make your voice heard with your federal officials.
