Exquisite Corpse is based on the collaborative game played by Surrealist artists, where each participant would draw an image on a sheet of paper, fold the paper to conceal their contribution, and pass it on to the next player for her contribution.

Collective Corpse is a group show featuring 15 Knoxville artists who collaborated to create 5 figures based on a randomly assigned part of the body (head & shoulders, torso & arms, legs) and encouraged to interpret their assignments literally, figuratively, or somewhere in between.  The resulting combinations may be beautiful, haunting, silly or disastrous.   Art card decks, which will include each artist's contribution, will be available for purchase.
